Announcing Anxious Avery

Charlotte Moore, Creative Consultant

There's no genuine "art" in artificial intelligence.

The technology basically usurps the work of real artists and synthesizes it into something else. There are consequences. Both my daughter Hayley (a talented voice actor) and I (a creative Jill of many trades) have experienced AI's impact on our work. And so, we decided, together, instead of crying over it, we would level up our collective artistic game!

The result? Our new adult animated web series, "Anxious Avery." Hayley speaks life into all the characters, and I’m the happy animator.

The series is about a socially awkward Blerd (Black nerd) who deals with every type of anxiety you can imagine. These fears permeate Avery's every waking hour, but they really come to life when she goes to sleep. From minor worries to situations that spark existential dread, you can trust that Avery will have a nightmare about it.

The episodes run the gamut from humorous to poignant. But, they always come to a terrifying end.

For Hayley and me, it's a true labor of love as we sit together each week to write and produce the episodes. We are in love with our creation. And, we're receiving so much encouragement from followers, especially on TikTok.

Even as AI bites off some of our income, how proud we are to prove that AI can't rob us of the joy we feel when we create. We invite you to follow our series on YouTube and all the socials. Just search for @anxiousaveryseries wherever you do your scrolling. And let the artists in your life know you see and appreciate their work!
