Andrea Fernández, native of the Rio Grande Valley, is a career development and communications professional focused on expanding access to postsecondary pathways for young people in Baltimore City. As a Career Coach with the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development in Baltimore, she delivers career readiness programming to over 1,000 middle school students annually. She has been working with Connecting Our Stories as a consultant since 2023.
Her background in strategic communications, having generated over 1 million impressions and developing large-scale communications reaching hundreds of thousands, provided her with the expertise of creating audience centered messaging. Andrea is recognized as a top-performing coach. She designs and leads highly engaging, data-informed workshops, developing all of her workshops in alignment with district wide curriculum. She uses strategic presentation techniques to meet diverse learning needs and maximize student impact.
Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Advertising Strategy and a Bachelor of Science in Communication & Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Doctoral in Education student with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
